FRUITVILLE & I-75 LAND HAS SOLD
Sarasota, FL (April 30, 2018) – Harry E. Robbins Associates, Inc. has announced today that Walters Family Trust has sold vacant land to SD Fruitville Commons, LLC at Fruitville Road & I-75, Sarasota, FL 34240.
Loyd Robbins represented the seller and handled this transaction. The 41+ acre site is part of the Fruitville Initiative and is approved for a mixed-use development with multi-family being the main focus. This property sold for $10,000,000.
In 2009, a public engagement and planning process began, involving landowners, Sarasota County government, and the neighborhoods adjacent to the 420 acres now known as the Fruitville Initiative. These county-hosted workshops came to represent hundreds of hours of citizen involvement in the future of their community and yielded a coordinated development strategy. What we have conceived and designed within that development strategy is the result of that innovation. A tremendous amount of thought, caring, and research went into the design and development of Fruitville Commons. What started with Sarasota County’s Fruitville Initiative will evolve into the next-generation of real estate development. This is “21st Century” Real Estate.
